A day at Sunland
The schedule below is a typical Tuesday. Participants choose what they join; nobody is required to do everything.
Sample daily schedule
- 8:30
Arrival and breakfast
The van brings participants in; coffee, tea and breakfast are on the table.
- 9:15
Orientation and group exercise
A short welcome, the day's date and news, then 30 minutes of seated and standing low-impact exercise.
- 10:00
Cognitive games or a lecture
Memory and word games, trivia, or a guest lecture on health, history or local life.
- 11:00
Choir, arts or discussion groups
Participants pick between music, arts and crafts, or a discussion circle in their language.
- 12:00
Lunch
A hot lunch served at the table. Dietary needs are noted on each participant's plan.
- 12:45
Activities of choice
Bingo, table games, casino-style games, technology help, or a quiet corner with a book.
- 1:45
Snack and departure
An afternoon snack, then drivers take everyone home by 2:00 [TBD: confirm times].
